Fishing of late has been great. The weather has been warm and it's similar to spring fishing.
Tarpon have been off of the 10,000 Islands in 6-11' of water. Tough on fly but live bait has been working. In addition Kingfish, Bonita and Sharks are being caught.
Closer in, in approximately 3-5' of water trout, pompano, bluefish, jacks, ladyfish are being caught in good numbers.
The mid day low tides we're having this week are great for fly fishing. The lower water pulls the snook and reds out of the mangroves making them more excessible. Plus, this tends to make the water clearer which is more conducive to sight fishing.
We have the new Orvis Helios 8wt Fly Rods in stock. Weighing in at 2 7/8 oz., the Helios is the lightest, strongest, most responsive fly rod on the market today.
