Capt. Tim Daugherty reports:
I had the pleasure of fishing John luther and his grandfather on a full day trip. A high but fast falling tide allowed us to get deep into the back country to do some shallow water paddle tail fishing. The bite was good as the snook were on the feed. As the tide began to drop out we turned out attention to some near shore fishing. John caught 4 nice tripletail and a few made it back to the dock for a great dinner. Another great day on the water.
Capt. Mark Ward reports:
The fishing has been great this past week before the cold front yesterday and will pick back up by the weekend with highs back in the 80's. Capt. Kevin Merritt jumped 7 layed up tarpon over the weend landing 3. The biggest was estimated at 98lbs. The tarpon bunny flies have been working. For snook the incoming tides have been good with the EP Perfect Minnow and the Mighty minnow patterns working well. Chartreuse and white have been the go to colors.
Our guides schedule is filling up for March and April so if your looking to go fishing I would suggest you book asap. Plus, booking ahead allows more opportunity to pick the tides.
